The AMC television drama, ‘Mad Men’ is vintage eye candy. The show has been on the air for two years and has caught the attention of viewers and critics alike for its historical accuracy and visually stunning sets and costumes.
Grammy-nominated set decorator, Amy Wells, creates perfect 1960s swanky New York City interiors and a recent LA Times article reveals Wells’ design secrets and tips. Her job is to find period pieces and restore and refinish as necessary and then create a believable set.
Pasadena, CA is where she finds her most useful pieces.
