With a catchy name like The Girl Can't Help It, this little vintage shop in San Diego is getting some serious attention in the North Park area of San Diego.
The Girl Can't Help It relocated from London to San Diego in the Fall.
The store relocated from London to San Diego in the Fall, and local vintage clothing lovers are finding that they can't help but love the quirky store. They specialize in 1930s, 1940s and 1950s Hollywood glamour, but you can also find the bizarre to sophisticated mid century vintage clothing and accessories from the 1920s to the 1970s.
What I like about this store is how passionate they are about finding the most quality pieces. They also have tons of photos on their Facebook page so you can preview the items before heading down to San Diego.

In addition to clothing, The Girl Can't Help It also carries a fantastic selection of vintage accessories such as hats, shoes and purses.
When describing the style of clothing at The Girl Can't Help It, they said to think of 1930s Jean Harlow bias cut gowns, 1940s Joan Crawford fitted suits or a 1960s Audrey Hepburn little black dress.

Blu Button Boutique had a vintage makeover recently, and customers were invited to get a makeover too.
Esther Kim, owner of Blu Button Boutique in Long Beach, Calif. introduced a women's vintage line, and the store looks amazing!
The store's facelift included the addition of vintage clothing and accessories, along with new clothing. The vintage line has bright colors, floral prints and a variety of sizes.
Fashion-conscious ladies received free hair and make up makeovers inside the store during the makeover event. Sonya Fredlov from Salon Pop on 4th Street styled hair, while Amenda Beck reinvented makeup for others.
Mid-century fashion and style has experienced a resurgence in the last few years. Shows like Mad Men and now Pan Am are taking audiences back to a time of impeccable fashion and are making knee-length skirts sexy again.
Mixing new reproduction or vintage 1950s clothing and accessories with your current wardrobe can be easier than you think. Bettie Page Clothing in Hollywood is a great place to find reproductions of 1950s era-style clothing. Shop around and add vintage scarves or jewelry to your wardrobe if you want to add just a tad of vintage flair to a more modern outfit.
For men's fashion visit Joyride: Vintage for Men in Orange, CA. They have 1930s suits through 1980s western snap shirts.
